The Australian Chilli Championships




Probably one of the toughest Chilli Eating Contests in the World presented by the legendary Phil ‘Burning Bites Down Under’ North.

Each contest features 6 contestants – the Best of the Best from each Aussie state (Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia, Victoria & Western Australia).

Multiple rounds with multiple chilli products including super-hot sauces, super spicy snacks, chilli chocolates & sweets as well as preserved candied chilli pods.

Due to Australian government laws regarding fruit fly, fresh chilli pods are not allowed across state borders which is why candies pods are used. Because of this The Australian Chilli Championship get it’s own league table as it doesn’t meet the requirements of a standard ‘Extreme Chilli Eating Contest’.
