Over the last 8 days we have published articles about the 8 brave competitive chilli eaters who will attempt a group challenge to see how many Tubes of Terror they can eat in one sitting, back to back, without any liquid or food relief the entire time. This is the first time such a difficult challenge has been attempted anywhere in the world ever! And for such an extraordinary event we believe there needs to be an exceptional person charged with hosting this challenge.
We are delighted to announce that the ex-WWE world famous superstar Ryback will be that person! What a guy!
Before we continue to have a discussion about this modern day Hercules of a man, we will mention why these guys are doing this contest in the first place. These brave chilli heads are gonna suffer for our entertainment on April 4th at 10pm UK time with the intention of raising money for the Australian wildlife that suffered from those atrocious fires in Australia earlier this year.

Ryback is also known as The Big Guy and with good reason. He is around 6ft 3 and weighs around 300lbs! He has 1.2 million followers on Instagram and 215k subscribers on YouTube. And YouTube is the place to go to understand how The Big Guy and the chilli community came together. Ryback started to produce a video series on his channel called ‘Ryback Has Heat’ and it is apparent to the viewers that the mental and physical challenges the body has to overcome when faced with the consumption of capsaicin really appeals to Ryback. He is a guy who loves a challenge. Lots of people don’t understand chill heads, but Ryback, he gets it!
Ryback has embraced the competitive chilli eating community and actively got involved some time ago. On his Ryback TV YouTube channel you can check his back catalogue and find uploads of him doing the Toe Of Satan, Paqui Chips V1 and V2, Carolina fresh pods, spicy ramen noodles, the Death Nuts from Blazing Foods, multiple fresh pods, BITES, the LOF Chug Challenge and most importantly… Ryback has completed the Tube of Terror challenge too! He has well and truly earned his place in the LOF! That is beyond cool!
The Big Guy doing challenges is one thing, but he has actually helped the chilli community grow by mentioning the LOF in his videos and having Johnny Scoville and Johnny Jr. on his channel talking about the chilli community. Furthermore he has shared a live podcast of him and the UK Chilli Queen having a chat! These loving gestures coupled with his huge worldwide following and network of loyal supporters will be a huge factor in helping the world appreciate competitive chilli eaters and help put a spotlight on the brave individuals who compete. We just can’t wait for the Spoonfuls of Terror and we CAN NOT WAIT to see the BIG GUY host this epic event!
The action kicks off tonight (Saturday 4th April) at 10pm UK time on the Hot Dang Show YouTube Channel! Please tune in, it is LIVE! Show your support and please, if you can, spare a few pounds or pennies for the WIRES charity!
